IT support for nonprofits and churches
that works for staff and volunteers

Churches and nonprofits handle donations, personal details and prayer requests, often with a small staff, rotating volunteers and a tight budget. Chrysalis Tech Group supports ministries and nonprofits in The Woodlands and the Houston area with 24/7 IT support, practical security and help with the sound, screens and livestreams your services depend on.

  • Simple, labeled systems volunteers can use without opening security gaps.
  • Protection for donor records, payment details and member information.
  • Help with Wi-Fi, livestreams, sound and screens across your buildings.

What IT support for nonprofits and churches covers

IT support for nonprofits and churches covers the computers, accounts, networks and audio visual systems your staff and volunteers use, managed for a flat monthly fee. Chrysalis provides 24/7 help desk support, monitoring, security for donor and member data, and support for Wi-Fi, livestreaming and sound. Impact Church of The Woodlands works with our onsite and remote team for its day-to-day IT and security.

Who we work with

Faith-based and community organizations that need dependable technology without a full-time IT department.

Churches and ministries

Churches with offices, worship spaces, children’s check-in, livestreams and a rotating team of volunteers, whether on one campus or several.

Nonprofits

Charities and community organizations that manage donors, grants, programs and client records with a small staff.

Churches that run a school

Ministries with a school or daycare, where student and staff devices share buildings and networks with church operations.

What makes church and nonprofit IT different

The work is mission-driven, and the technology has to fit how it actually gets done.

Volunteers and shared devices

Volunteers come and go, logins get shared, and the check-in laptop ends up with an old password on a sticky note. Every shared account is a door that is hard to close when someone leaves.

Donor and member data

Giving records, payment details, contact lists and prayer requests are personal. Small organizations with no IT staff are easy targets for phishing and fake payment requests.

Tight budgets, high expectations

Weekend services, events and livestreams have to work, and there is rarely a budget line for surprise IT costs. Old equipment stays in service long after it should have been replaced.

How Chrysalis supports churches and nonprofits

Steady, practical support that respects your budget and your volunteers.

24/7 help for staff and volunteers

A help desk your team can call at any hour, monitoring that catches problems early, and an onsite and remote team that gets to know your buildings and your people.

Accounts and access that make sense

Individual accounts instead of shared logins, multi-factor authentication (MFA) for staff, locked-down check-in and kiosk devices, and access removed promptly when a volunteer or staff member moves on.

Protection for donor and member data

Email filtering, endpoint protection, backups and security awareness training for staff and volunteer leaders. Leadership gets regular updates on your security status and clear recommendations.

Wi-Fi, livestream and audio visual

Separate guest and staff Wi-Fi, a network that can carry your livestream, and design and support for sound, video, screens and phone systems across your campus.

Care for your budget

A flat monthly fee for managed IT, a replacement plan for aging equipment, and help checking the nonprofit pricing that many software vendors, Microsoft included, offer to eligible organizations.

Know where your church stands

Chrysalis offers complimentary risk assessments. You get a high-level view of where your accounts, devices and data are exposed, and what to fix first.

What changes

  • Every staff member and volunteer has their own login, and access ends when they leave.
  • Donor and member records are backed up and better protected.
  • Services and livestreams run on equipment and a network someone is looking after.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions from churches and nonprofits.

We do not have an IT person. Is that a problem?

No. That is what managed IT is for. Chrysalis acts as your IT department: staff and volunteers call the help desk, and we handle updates, security, backups and planning. One staff member or volunteer leader stays our main contact for decisions.

Our volunteers change all the time. How do we stay secure?

Give each person their own account, keep shared devices limited to the few things they need, label equipment and write simple instructions. We set this up and remove access when people leave, so turnover does not leave old accounts open.

Can you help with our livestream and sound system?

Yes. Chrysalis designs and supports audio visual systems and the network behind them. For a livestream, the network matters as much as the camera, so we look at both. Tell us what equipment you run today and we will tell you what we can support.

Can you protect our online giving?

Your giving platform runs on its provider’s systems, so the risk on your side sits in the accounts and computers staff use to reach it. We protect those with MFA, email filtering and managed devices, and help you limit who can export donor lists.

Is managed IT affordable on a church budget?

Managed IT is a flat monthly fee, so you can plan for it. Plans start at $125 per user per month with Chrysalis Essential, and the final figure depends on the scope you choose. Your proposal lists what the plan covers, and you can add services as your needs grow.

Do you support churches with more than one campus?

Yes. Every site included in your plan gets remote support, with onsite work scheduled as agreed. Chrysalis has offices in The Woodlands and Humble and supports organizations across the Houston area.
