Private and independent schools
Schools with a business office, a technology coordinator or no IT staff at all, and more student devices every year.
Teachers need the display, the Wi-Fi and the student devices working when class starts, and parents expect student information to stay private. Chrysalis Tech Group supports private and faith-based schools in The Woodlands and the Houston area with 24/7 IT support, network and Wi-Fi support, account security, backups and classroom audio visual.
IT support for education keeps a school’s devices, Wi-Fi, classroom technology and student records working and protected. For private schools, Chrysalis provides 24/7 help desk support, network and Wi-Fi support, account security, backups and classroom audio visual. Privacy rules differ from school to school. We put the technical controls in place, and your school and its advisers decide which laws apply.
Schools that run on a small administrative team and need IT that keeps pace with the school day.
Schools with a business office, a technology coordinator or no IT staff at all, and more student devices every year.
Church schools, where school and church share buildings, networks and sometimes staff.
Daycares, tutoring centers and learning programs that hold family records and payment details.
Schools carry a lot of technology for their size, and most of it has to work at the same moment.
Laptops, tablets and Chromebooks for students and staff need setup, updates, repairs and tracking. Doing that by hand every summer, with one coordinator, does not scale.
Students need a safe online experience without reaching harmful content, on school devices and on the school network. Getting that balance right takes ongoing attention a small team does not have time for.
Grades, health notes, custody details and tuition payments are sensitive. Staff inboxes draw phishing and fake invoice scams, and one compromised account can expose a lot.
IT support planned around the school calendar.
Setup, updates and repair coordination for school-owned laptops, tablets and Chromebooks, with refreshes planned for the summer break.
Separate networks for students, staff and guests, and Wi-Fi planned for a building full of devices, supported under the scope in your plan.
Design, installation and support for classroom displays, projectors, sound and video conferencing, plus the cabling and network behind them.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA), email security against phishing, access controls and backups for your student information system and staff accounts, plus security awareness training for faculty and office staff.
Support for teachers and office staff at any hour, so there is one number to call when a projector or an account stops working.
Chrysalis offers complimentary risk assessments. You get a high-level view of where your devices, network and accounts are exposed, so the summer work goes where it matters.

Common questions from schools.
No provider can make a school compliant on its own. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) applies to schools that receive funds from programs run by the U.S. Department of Education, and many private schools do not, so check with your advisers what applies to you. Either way, Chrysalis helps you protect student records with access controls, MFA, encryption and backups.
Yes. Chrysalis designs, installs and supports audio visual systems, including displays, projectors, sound and video conferencing, along with the cabling and Wi-Fi they depend on.
Yes. When a school and a church share buildings, we keep their networks and accounts apart where they need to be, so guests at a church event stay off the network that holds student records, and each side has its own access rules.
Around your calendar. Device rollouts, network upgrades and cabling work are best planned for the summer break and school holidays, and we agree the timing with you in advance.
Yes. Chrysalis backs up your student information system, staff accounts and school files, with a written recovery plan, so there is a tested way to restore records after a failed drive or a deleted folder.
Managed IT is a flat monthly fee. Plans start at $125 per user per month with Chrysalis Essential, and the final figure depends on the agreed scope: the number of staff and devices, your buildings and the services you need. Your proposal lists what the plan covers.
