IT services for real estate
that keep agents and closings moving

Agents work from cars, open houses and closing tables, and one spoofed email can redirect a buyer’s down payment. Chrysalis Tech Group gives brokerages, property managers and housing companies in the Houston area 24/7 IT support, email security aimed at wire fraud and secure access for teams in the field.

  • Email protection and verification habits that make wire fraud harder.
  • Secure phones, laptops and cloud access for agents on the move.
  • Networks, Wi-Fi and phone systems for brokerage and leasing offices.

What IT services for real estate firms include

IT services for real estate firms protect the email, devices and cloud systems agents and property managers rely on, and make wire fraud harder to pull off. Chrysalis provides 24/7 help desk support, email security, multi-factor authentication (MFA), management of agent phones and laptops, cloud file storage, and office networks and phones. We also move property businesses off in-house servers and into the cloud, as we did for Murphy’s Corporate Housing Associates.

Who we support

Firms that run on email, phones and trust between buyers, sellers, tenants and agents.

Brokerages and agent teams

Offices whose agents work mostly from their phones and need secure access to listings, transaction files and e-signatures.

Property management companies

Firms with leasing offices, tenant records, rent payments and vendors to coordinate across several properties.

Corporate housing and short-term rentals

Housing companies with reservations, guest data and units spread across a metro area.

The IT risks in real estate

Real estate moves large sums of money on the strength of an email, which makes it a target.

Wire fraud and business email compromise

Criminals break into or imitate an agent’s, title company’s or lender’s email, then send new wiring instructions just before closing. Business email compromise (BEC) like this can cost a buyer their down payment and the firm its reputation.

Agents on personal devices

Agents often use their own phones and laptops for client files, email and signatures. When an agent leaves or loses a phone, client data can leave with them.

Aging servers and scattered systems

Some offices still keep files on an aging in-house server, next to a mix of cloud apps nobody manages centrally. Backups, access control and onboarding all get harder.

How Chrysalis supports real estate firms

Security and support built around how agents and property managers work.

Email security against wire fraud

Filtering for phishing and look-alike domains, MFA on every mailbox, and domain settings that make your own address harder to spoof. We also help you set a call-back rule: wiring instructions get confirmed by phone, on a number you already know.

Managed phones and laptops

Agent phones and laptops are configured with multi-factor authentication, managed access to company email and files, and a documented offboarding process so access can be removed when an agent leaves.

Cloud systems and file access

Files moved off aging in-house servers into secure cloud storage and Microsoft 365, with permissions set by team, office and transaction.

Security awareness training

Short, regular training that shows agents and staff what a fake wiring request, a fake listing inquiry or a fake e-signature email looks like.

Office networks, phones and 24/7 support

Wi-Fi, networks and business phone systems for brokerage and leasing offices, with a help desk agents can reach at any hour.

Check your email defenses

Chrysalis offers complimentary risk assessments. You get a high-level view of where your email, devices and accounts are exposed, and what to fix first.

What changes

  • Every mailbox protected with MFA and filtering, plus a call-back rule for wiring instructions.
  • Access to company data removed through the offboarding process when someone leaves.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions from real estate firms.

Can you stop wire fraud?

No provider can stop every attempt. Chrysalis makes it harder: MFA and filtering on email, domain protection, training, and a call-back rule for any change to wiring instructions. These scams depend on someone acting on an email without checking, so the process matters as much as the technology.

Our agents are independent contractors. Can you still help?

Yes. Even when agents own their devices, the brokerage can require MFA, manage company email and files on those devices, and remove access when an agent leaves. We help you set rules your agents will accept.

Have you worked with housing and property businesses?

Yes. Murphy’s Corporate Housing Associates moved from an in-house server to the cloud with Chrysalis.

Can you support agents who are rarely in the office?

Yes. Most support is remote: the help desk is available 24/7, and phones and laptops are managed over the internet. Onsite visits to your offices are scheduled as agreed in your plan.

What should we do if a wire may have gone to a criminal?

Call your bank straight away and ask it to recall the transfer, then report it to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) through its Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). Then call us, so we can check the mailboxes involved, lock any compromised accounts and find out how the attacker got in.

What does IT support for a brokerage cost?

Managed IT is a flat monthly fee. Plans start at $125 per user per month with Chrysalis Essential, and the final figure depends on the agreed scope, mainly the number of agents and staff, devices, offices and the security you need. Your proposal lists what the plan covers.
