Cloud IT services
that retire the server in the closet.

Chrysalis moves businesses from aging in-house servers to Microsoft 365 and hosted servers, then supports what runs there. As a Microsoft Solutions Partner, we plan each move around how your people work and what your data needs.

  • Microsoft 365 setup, migration and support
  • Moves from in-house servers to the cloud, in planned stages
  • Fibertown hosting for the servers you still need

What do cloud IT services include?

Cloud IT services move your email, files, applications and servers off hardware in your office and onto managed cloud platforms, then manage and support them. In practice that means Microsoft 365 for email and documents and, for software that still needs a server, Fibertown server hosting for business continuity, a data center rated for up to a Category 5 hurricane. Chrysalis plans the migration, moves the data, secures access and supports your team afterward.

Who this is for

Houston-area businesses ready to stop depending on one box in the back room.

Companies running an aging server

The server holds your files, accounting system or line-of-business application, it is out of warranty, and a failure would stop work.

Teams that work from more than one place

Staff need the same files and applications in the office, at home and on the road, without a clumsy remote connection.

Businesses that use Microsoft 365 only for email

You pay for Microsoft 365, but files still live on a shared drive and Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint sit unused or half set up.

What keeps businesses on old servers

The case for cloud computing is easy to see. Getting there without disrupting work is the hard part.

Fear of a disruptive move

Nobody wants to lose a day of work or find missing files on Monday morning, so the move keeps getting pushed back.

Software that still needs a server

Some accounting, design and industry applications expect a server. They need a plan of their own, not a forced fit into Microsoft 365.

Cloud settings nobody owns

Licenses get bought one at a time, sharing settings stay on the defaults and nobody reviews who can see what.

What our cloud services cover

Planning, migration and ongoing support for the cloud platforms your business runs on.

Microsoft 365 setup and migration

Email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams set up properly, mailboxes and files moved over, and licenses matched to what each person needs.

Server to cloud migration

We review your servers, decide what moves to Microsoft 365, what moves to hosted servers and what can retire, then migrate in stages with a way back if a step fails.

Fibertown server hosting for business continuity

Software that still needs a server runs on infrastructure housed at Fibertown, a data center built with power, connectivity and security redundancies.

Cloud security and backup

Protect accounts and data after the move with multi-factor authentication (MFA), sign-in rules, sharing controls and backup of Microsoft 365 data through partners such as Axcient.

Ongoing cloud support

Help desk support for your users, license management and regular reviews of settings and costs, as part of your managed IT plan.

Planning for storm season?

What changes after the move

  • Your team reaches files and applications from the office, home or the road.
  • No single server in a closet that can stop the business when it fails.
  • Critical systems sit in a data center built for severe weather, not in your office.

We help staff settle into the new setup, retire the old hardware safely and support the environment from then on.

Frequently asked questions

Questions to settle before you move to the cloud.

Should we move everything to the cloud?

Not always. Email and documents usually belong in Microsoft 365. Some line-of-business software runs better on a hosted server, and a few systems are best left alone until they are replaced. The assessment tells you which is which.

What is the difference between Microsoft 365 and Fibertown server hosting?

Microsoft 365 is Microsoft's service for email, files and collaboration. Fibertown server hosting keeps client servers in a data center Chrysalis uses for business continuity, for systems that still need a server and should not sit in your office.

Will we lose work during the migration?

Every migration carries some risk, so we plan for problems. Data is copied and checked before anything switches over, cutovers happen at times you agree and there is a way back if a step fails.

Is Chrysalis a Microsoft partner?

Yes. Chrysalis is a Microsoft Solutions Partner and supports Microsoft 365 for businesses across Greater Houston.

If we are in the cloud, do we still need backups?

Yes. Microsoft runs the service, but recovering from deleted files, ransomware or a compromised account is still your responsibility. We set up backup for Microsoft 365 data and hosted servers.

How are cloud services priced?

Cloud support can be part of a managed IT plan. Plans start at $125 per user per month, and the final fee depends on the scope you agree. A migration is scoped and priced with you before it starts, so you know what is included.
