Growing companies
Headcount, locations or customers have grown faster than the systems behind them, and the setup that worked at a smaller size is now slowing people down.
Technology decisions carry real weight for a growing business. Chrysalis helps you see where your IT stands, weigh the options and plan the work before you commit budget to it.
IT consulting services help you make technology decisions before you spend money on them. Chrysalis reviews your systems, security and costs, then turns what we find into a prioritized technology roadmap with honest budget ranges: what to fix now, what to plan for next year and what can wait. We also plan individual projects, such as a cloud migration, an office move or a server replacement. For managed IT clients, a virtual chief information officer (vCIO) keeps the plan current.
Owners and operations leaders who have a technology decision in front of them and want advice grounded in how their business runs.
Headcount, locations or customers have grown faster than the systems behind them, and the setup that worked at a smaller size is now slowing people down.
A server is near the end of its life, an office lease is ending, an insurer or customer is asking security questions, or a vendor is pushing an upgrade you are not sure you need.
Someone keeps things running day to day, but nobody owns the plan for the next few years or the budget behind it.
Most businesses do not need more technology. They need the right technology, in the right order, with a budget that holds up.
Purchases happen when something breaks or a vendor calls. Systems pile up without a plan, and some of them do the same job twice.
Hardware refreshes, license renewals and new security requirements land in the same quarter, and leadership hears about them when the invoices arrive.
A migration or office move starts without a clear scope, owner or timeline, and staff live with half-finished systems for months.
Each engagement is built around the decision in front of you, from a single project to a multi-year plan.
A clear review of your servers, network, devices, accounts, backups and security, with the risks and gaps ranked by business impact.
A phased, multi-year plan that ties every upgrade to a business reason rather than a refresh cycle.
A budget that separates recurring costs from planned projects and holds up when you present it to owners or a board.
Scope, order, budget and cutover plans for cloud migrations, office moves, server replacements and new locations.
A look at the vendors, contracts and licenses you already pay for, so spending stays accountable and renewals do not catch you off guard.
A complimentary risk assessment shows where your systems and habits leave you exposed. It is a practical first input to a technology roadmap.

Common questions about hiring an IT consultant.
Managed IT looks after your systems day to day on a flat monthly fee. IT consulting is about decisions: what to change, in what order and for how much. The two fit together, with consulting setting the plan and managed IT carrying it out.
We review your network, servers, cloud services, devices, user accounts, backups and security settings, and talk with the people who use them. You get a summary of what we found, ranked by business risk, with recommended next steps.
It depends on scope. Planning one project is a different job from a full assessment and multi-year roadmap, so we agree the scope and price with you before work starts. Ongoing managed IT plans start at $125 per user per month, and our pricing page explains how those are quoted.
Yes. Chrysalis has offices in The Woodlands and Humble, Texas, and works with businesses across Greater Houston and beyond. Much of the work, such as reviews, planning sessions and roadmap meetings, can happen remotely, with site visits where the work calls for them.
We recommend what fits your business and explain why. Sometimes that is new equipment or a product from a partner such as Microsoft, Dell Technologies or WatchGuard. Sometimes it is keeping what you have and changing how it is set up.
