What are managed IT services?

With managed IT services, an outside team looks after your day-to-day technology for a predictable monthly fee. With Chrysalis, that covers 24/7 IT support for your staff, administration of your servers and network, Microsoft 365, security best practices and planning for what comes next. You get one partner to call instead of a string of vendors. Managed support is covered by a flat monthly fee, with ongoing maintenance and support included. Plans start at $125 per user per month.

Who managed IT is for

Managed IT usually makes sense when one of these sounds familiar.

Companies without an IT department

The office manager or the most tech-savvy employee has been fixing things on the side. Managed IT gives them their real job back and gives everyone a proper help desk to call.

Businesses outgrowing break-fix support

Paying by the hour means nobody looks after your systems until something breaks. A managed plan puts updates, maintenance and planning on a schedule instead.

Teams with one or two IT people

If you already have IT staff, Chrysalis can take the help desk, after-hours calls or larger projects off their plate while they keep ownership of the rest.

Firms facing harder security questions

Clients, insurers and regulators want to know how your data is protected. Managed IT builds security into routine work rather than treating it as a one-off project.

Where everyday IT goes wrong

From network failures to software glitches, tech-related roadblocks can stop your business in its tracks.

Problems that keep coming back

The same slow laptop, the same printer, the same locked account. When nobody tracks issues, nobody fixes the cause, and your team loses hours to workarounds.

Nobody owns the big picture

Licenses renew, warranties lapse and servers age quietly until one fails at the worst moment. Someone has to keep the inventory, the updates and the replacement plan current.

IT costs you cannot predict

Hourly bills spike exactly when something goes wrong, which is when a surprise hurts most. Budgeting for technology turns into guesswork.

What our managed IT services include

Your plan sets the exact scope. These are the building blocks it draws on.

People-first support

24/7 IT support to help your team resolve problems and get back to work. Existing clients reach the help desk through client support or the client portal.

Servers and networks

Setup, configuration and ongoing administration of the infrastructure your business depends on.

Microsoft 365 and remote work

User accounts, email, file sharing and secure remote access, plus Microsoft 365 training so your team gets more from tools you already pay for. Virtual desktops are available where they fit.

Security in the routine

Updates, endpoint protection and configuration that follow security best practices, with our cybersecurity services available when you need deeper monitoring and response.

Planning and risk management

Technology consulting, replacement planning and support with industry requirements, so upgrades happen on your schedule rather than after a failure. Planning with a virtual chief information officer (vCIO) is part of our managed IT service, not a separate purchase.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to what people ask before switching IT providers.

What does managed IT support cost?

Managed IT plans start at $125 per user per month for Chrysalis Essential, $175 per user per month for Chrysalis Secure and $225 per user per month for Chrysalis Complete. The final fee depends on your environment and the scope you agree, and your proposal lists what your plan covers. Our pricing page explains how a quote is built.

What is the difference between managed IT and break-fix support?

With break-fix, you call someone when something fails and pay for their time. With managed IT, a provider looks after your systems all month for a set fee, so updates, maintenance and planning happen before problems reach your staff.

Is managed IT the same as outsourced IT?

Mostly. Outsourced IT is the broad idea of handing IT to an outside firm. Managed IT is the ongoing, fixed-fee version of it, with a defined scope. If you have internal IT staff and want to keep them, co-managed IT splits the work between your team and ours.

Do you work onsite or remotely?

Both. Many issues can be fixed remotely, and the Chrysalis team also works onsite. How onsite visits work for your locations is agreed in your plan.

Can we keep our current hardware and software?

Usually. We start by documenting what you have and flag anything that is out of support or a security risk. Replacements are planned and budgeted with you, not forced on day one.

How do clients get help?

Existing clients call client support on 713.575.2626 or use the client portal. New inquiries go to sales on 713.575.2608.
